The PhD thesis has the title "Norwegian opportunities beyond oil and gas - strategic opportunities in sustainable energy production".
The material on this web page is based on a PhD research project at Department of Geology and Mineral resources at NTNU in the period 2006-2008. The future value creation from Norwegian energy production has been studied in light of the forthcomming peak oil situation caused by limited fossil resources available and the impacts of climate change. A significant value creation potential has been identified related to electricity production from offshore wind resources on NCS.
